The Olive Branch Australia has partnered with local and trusted nurseries in The West Bank and Gaza to plant olive shrubs across Palestine. It is a continual charity (sadaqah jariyyah) to invest in planting a tree. It represents sustainable charity providing assistance to families for year and years to follow. In fact the current generation of Olive tree farmers in Palestine are benefitting from the trees planted by their grand parents.
Palestine's dry, arid and parched environment provides the best naturally territory for olives trees. Some trees are dated over 3500 years and are amongst the oldest trees in the world. The olive trees represents the strength of the Palestinian people and is revered in the three main religions.
